Building & Maintaining Strong Brand Identity
With family offices being a relatively unknown concept in Sweden, developing a brand identity has been particularily important.
With the marketing department being myself, I found a guy with the perfect voice to read my script and met up with an old friend with a camera.
At a minimum-budget, we managed to create the perfect introductory video.
Enabling Successful External Communications
Conducting analysis and producing the communication strategies and market plans were fun and all. But without executing whatever you’ve come up with, it’s nothing but fancy documents.
In addition to curating our LinkedIn, Facebook, Vimeo and press channels, I made us a website. Containing more than a hundred pages in two languages, it enabled us to provide our target groups with everything from news to in-depth information.

Exceeding Investors Expectations
Whenever a client calls you to ask a question, consider yourself a giant failure and disgrace to your family name. Staying one step ahead of our clients, I make sure we provide answers to questions they don’t even have yet.
No, I’m not talking about catchup calls, fax (!) or boring e-mails. In addition to our interactive monthly letters, I keep them up to date by producing quarterly video summaries, drone footage, animations – and even virtual site visits at the portfolio properties (click the picture).

Sometimes I wonder if our Asset Management team comes from out of this 🌎. They speak a different language than us ordinary mortals. And that’s a good thing, or their PhD’s, CFA’s and whatnot would be for nothing. They’re incredibly smart.
To make use of that and have everybody understand, I make it easy to grasp complex matters. For instance, I’ve produced investment memorandums (one of which you can see if you make the effort to click the picture).

Leveraging Human Capital & Increasing Productivity
So, what do we do again? Give advice, provide tax plans and help people with financial and legal matters. We sell knowledge.
Without even holding a degree in organizational behavior, I figured out that our most important asset is our human capital (👏👏👏).
Given that insight, I created a self-service library – giving employees access to the information they need whenever they need it.

I’m not gonna lie: everything about wealth management isn’t sexy. But I’m doing my best to make it.
In addition to summarizing boring and internal policy documents into explainer videos graspable to employees, I’ve created simple How-To’s, FAQ’s and instructions for clients to explore. One example is the summary of how our app works, including this and many other videos.
Facilitating Learning & Improving Efficiency
As good as I am at nodding in agreement, I find it hard not to fall asleep during internal training sessions and Compliance Officer’s monologues.
To make education fun, save a ton of money, gain analysis and content control, give employees the flexibility to learn whenever best suited whilst turning a regulatory necessity into something useful; I created an internal e-learning platform.

Overwinning Regulatory Bureaucracy
Finance is one of the most heavily regulated industries. Despite working for a company with an exemplarily compliant compensation model, we’re not exempt from legal obligations.
Making sure our collection of policies and internal processes are legally up-to-date, I help produce relevant material. Investment mandates, for instance; a set of instructions laying out how a pool of assets should be invested. Click the picture to see an example.
